Product Introduction
I. Core Structure and Composition
1. Integrated Box-Type Design: The most prominent feature. The transformer core, high-voltage load switch, fuse, high-voltage tap changer, elbow-type cable terminal, and oil-immersed zinc oxide arrester are all sealed in the same oil tank, sharing the insulating oil for insulation and cooling; the traditional oil conservator is eliminated, and the oil tank is directly exposed to the radiator, significantly reducing the volume. The low-voltage distribution cabinet (including circuit breakers, metering, and compensation) is independently hung on the side of the oil tank.
2. Protection Configuration: Double fuses on the high-voltage side (insertion-type dual-sensitivity fuses + backup current-limiting fuses); molded case circuit breakers on the low-voltage side; the body is equipped with a pressure relief valve, oil temperature/oil level monitoring, and a temperature controller, forming non-electrical protection.
3. Common Specifications: Voltage levels are mostly 10kV/0.4kV; capacity ranges commonly from 50kVA to 800kVA, with a maximum generally not exceeding 1250kVA; insulating oil can be selected from ordinary mineral oil or high flash point environmentally friendly oil (such as FR3).
II. Core Advantages
1. Compact Size and Minimal Space Occupancy: Typically, it is only about 1/3 the size of a European-style box transformer of the same capacity, making it suitable for space-constrained scenarios such as urban green belts, corners of residential areas, and construction sites.
2. Factory Pre-assembly, Ready for Immediate Use: Wiring and testing are completed at the factory. Once on-site, it can be put into operation by simply connecting the cables, significantly reducing the construction period.
3. Fully Sealed and Highly Protected: With a high protection level, it is resistant to moisture, salt spray, and dust, and requires little to no maintenance outdoors for an extended period.
4. Versatile for Ring Network/Terminal Applications, with Elbow-Type Plugs Capable of Hot Plug and Pull (Emergency Load Switch Function), offering strong power supply flexibility; its overload capacity is superior to that of conventional distribution transformers.
5. Lower Overall Cost and Good Economic Efficiency.
III. Limitations
1. The high-pressure components are sealed within the oil tank, making fault diagnosis and maintenance difficult. In most cases, it requires returning to the factory for handling, resulting in long power outages.
2. Heat dissipation relies on the oil tank and radiator, which is limited by capacity and environmental temperature; there are risks of oil leakage and fire hazards.
3. The single unit capacity should not be too large, as it is not suitable for large industrial main power sources.
IV. Typical Application Scenarios
Ring network / terminal distribution of urban power grids, lighting in residential areas and municipal roads, temporary construction power supply, voltage boosting for photovoltaic / wind power distributed power stations, rural and remote area power grid renovations, etc.
